Hello. I'm Stéphanie!

Though I began my career as a ballet dancer in Montreal, Canada, Pilates has been a transformative and wonderful part of my life for more than twelve years.  In 2003, I certified as a Pilates teacher in New York with Romana’s Pilates.  Two years later, I opened my own studio here in Primrose Hill, London.  

Dance was my first love, but Pilates will be the long-lasting one!  I rarely go many days without practicing Pilates for myself. It keeps me fit, balanced and healthy.  Pilates has also improved my wellbeing and concentration and helps me maintain the right balance between strength and flexibility.  A perfect complement to my running!

And teaching? Well, I love interacting with different people who have varying physical goals and challenges. I am inspired when my clients tell me that they feel better and healthier...even after only a few sessions in the studio. Only when a client is hooked on Pilates do I feel that I have been successful at my job.

I thrive on challenges, and I tailor my sessions to each client’s individual needs and goals.  I will modify every routine to safely guide anyone recovering from injuries.  I love to help my older clients reach the increased flexibility and the fitness results that Pilates delivers.  It is also immensely satisfying to help clients new to fitness build from a gentle introduction.  And finally, I will push any super-fit client to the next level of strength! I have taught students as young as 7, and as old as 93.   Variety is the spice of life and my job never gets boring!

When I’m not teaching in the studio, I stay busy and amused with my amazing, and very active, little girl.  I also enjoy time with my family and often spend holidays, back home, in Montreal, Canada.  When I’m not doing Pilates, I can be found running, swimming or walking in the woods.  Of course, to make up for all this exercise, I love to eat...all kinds of food! What else makes me happy?  Sunny days, Canada in the autumn, fine red wine, a really good book and laughing in the company of friends.
